While I love my Volvo, what gives me comfort with my commitment to it is the service I've received, and truly feeling valued as a customer.
After driving sports sedans for most of my life, I recently leased a 2026 Volvo XC40 Ultra to see if an SUV might suit me. I arrived on a Friday afternoon to see if I could book a test drive, having researched the model fairly extensively. Denis was incredibly helpful, spending the first half hour or so just asking me questions and listening to me. No sales pressure, just working to understand my needs. Turned out he was able to get me in for a test drive right there, and after taking me out to show me how some of the controls worked, gave me the key and said "don't come back until you're in love with the vehicle". Well, mission accomplished!
It's worth noting that the dealership closed at 6pm and I got back from my test drive around 5:30pm. With my heart set on the XC40, I figured I'd come back to do a deal but Denis and Kendra in finance were kind enough to stay late to help me get it done. I never felt rushed and they took the time to make sure all my questions were answered and the financing terms were what suited my needs. Kendra gave me all the information on the additional services available and I never felt pressured to purchase anything beyond what I was comfortable with or saw value in.
Vehicles themselves are pretty much commodities and consumers can do plenty of research on the products on our own. Where a dealership can differentiate itself and really stand out is the customer experience and people delivering on it. While I love my Volvo, what gives me comfort with my commitment to it is the service I've received, and truly feeling valued as a customer. It's obvious the ownership and management have worked to create a strong culture here that understands that. No buyer's regret here!
